M/Y AD ASTRA | DOUBLE NOMINATON
We’re proud to announce that M/Y Ad Astra has received a double nomination, being shortlisted for both the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards and the design et al Yacht & Aviation Awards, a fantastic recognition of the design vision and the teamwork behind this project.
From the start, 37.5-metre Ad Astra was designed around a flexible architectural framework, a foundation that can be reinterpreted in different styles for future owners, without major engineering changes. Three design directions were developed to prove that adaptability, from classic elegance to contemporary relaxation, before the final concept was chosen for its modern lines and natural calm.
Inside, the atmosphere is defined by light, texture, and refined contrast. Sustainably sourced Tay wood and natural oak flooring create a bright base, balanced with glossy walnut and Noir St. Laurent marble for depth. Soft sculptural lighting appears throughout in custom alabaster fixtures, while tactile details, from textured resin handles to shimmering finishes, keep the interior both durable and quietly luxurious.
When the client stepped aboard, the team had just two weeks to finalize all loose furniture, décor and soft furnishings, without time for renderings or physical samples. Inspired by the name Ad Astra, navigation-themed objects were introduced across the yacht, alongside a bespoke launch-day star chart artwork created with an artist. With custom logo details, a signature Hermès orange accent, iconic mid-century pieces, and even a curated soundscape, Ad Astra became a complete sensory experience, reaching confidently toward the stars.
